Special Honors for Coalition Staff

The New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is pleased to announce two special honors awarded to members of our staff.

Grace Mattern
Executive Director

Coalition Executive Director Grace Mattern is being recognized by New Hampshire Business Review magazine. She has been named an Outstanding Woman in Business by the publication. This award celebrates the success and achievements of women from all walks of life and professions in our state's business community. Grace along with the other recipients will be featured in the February 13th issue of New Hampshire Business Review.

Grace has led the Coalition for 27 years. Her knowledge, vision and selflessness as well as her ability to facilitate collaboration in the most difficult situations, make her a model of an outstanding and successful business woman. She has truly changed the face of domestic and sexual violence in the state of NH and with that has brought the opportunity for change throughout the country.

Amanda Grady
Public Policy Director

Amanda Grady has been named one of NH Union Leader's "40 Under Forty." This special recognition is given to 40 leaders in the state under the age of 40. She will be profiled in today's edition of the Union Leader. Amanda is a both a leader in her community and in the field of victim's and children's rights.

Though legislative advocacy, Amanda has worked to positively affect the lives of thousands of victims of crime throughout the state of NH. One of Amanda's biggest accomplishments is her work on House Bill 1640, a bill that brings NH into compliance with the Federal Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act. HB1640 marks an important step forward in New Hampshire's efforts to protect victims of sexual abuse by strengthening state laws pertaining to our sex offender registry.

Although Amanda is in the early stages of her career, what she has already accomplished has made the State of New Hampshire a safer place for all of all of us to live.

All of us here at the Coalition are very proud of both Grace and Amanda and we are happy to see them get the recognition they deserve
